OK, a new day and more bucks! Had a new isolating switch fitted, tested and charged out at about 160 sweet dollars. Reason, old unit not operating to normal standards. Result, very good as other inherent problems cleared up - such as electrical aerial wasn't working, TV could not receive a signal - now is and a few other unexplained problems ( maybe ghosts or demons) seemed to have disappeared. Not that I want to talk to soon - sssshh! My good friend Grant from Werribee, Victoria recommended that we have a way of monitoring the reserve power of our 150 Amp Hour battery as over draining will shorten the battery life and reduce it's performance. Good news Grant, Van has an in built battery monitor and the isolating switch has a built in safe guard, thanks buddy!

Tomorrow, need to have air con checked as it is tripping the circuit breaker after it gets warm - about 30 minutes running and not greatly cool either - fingers crossed that it is not too costly but Deb and I need to be cool so it must be done and running properly! For people who think this is too lavish, keep in mind we will be living 24/7 in this van and we want to be comfortable.

Next week - awning material to be replaced, another 1000 bucks and also tool box needs to be fixed to the rear of van, no idea on cost here - our biggest fear is going over weight as the Colorado is weighing in at 2.5 tons with 2 passenger, a full tank of fuel, generator and the hitch set up. Our total GCM is 6 ton! We will visit the weigh bridge after this! Fingers crossed!!!!!! Overall outlay on total project is now in the vicinity of $130K.
