The Adventure Takes Shape!

Finally, reality begins! The last week week spent under the roof of our eldest son's home whilst settling up last minute affairs with our rig set up up at the Redcliffe Showgrounds. This morning we hitched up and headed off to Six Mile Creek just south of Gympie (or as our GPS lists the site "6 Mile Ceek"). This is a free road stop site with water, dump facility and toilets. Met a few talkative people and played a bit with my new toy - a Nikon D3200 SLR camera which I am trying hard to learn to use -thanks Brett love it!

Tomorrow we head off to Goomeri Showgrounds for 3 nights to unhitch and check out the local surrounding sites with intent to stay a further 3 nights at the Cheery Nomad RV Park and Farmstay (near Maryborough).

We left the van hitched as it was only an overnight stay - quick and easy departure in the morning!
