Our first exploration of the not so little town was to visit Castle Hill lookout, a 3.1 kilometer hike up some very steep terrain (we opted to drive to the car park at the top). I know what's going through everybody's minds at this point but we chose to conserve some energy to checkout the 4 lookouts at the peak - a fair amount of steep climbing and distance to be covered here also! Back to the van to get some washing done and rest the weary legs before catching up with the beautiful grand children this evening. Once again it is difficult to assess the steepness of the terrain from the photos.
