No first prize for guessing where we are now, haven't seen any chickens yet but what a start to our touring! First stop after an informative session from Margaret at the visitor information center was Wallaman Falls, about an hour out of Ingham. With a world ranking of 294 for height and is UNESCO World Heritage–listed Wet Tropics in the northern region of Queensland with the longest drop in Australia of 268 meters, it provided a spectacular photo opportunity. Very steep walks require a high level of fitness so we chose to avoid travelling to the base of the falls and probably went a third of the way down the walking track. All the warnings in the area are to keep a look out for the endangered Cassowary. Regretfully we did not spot any of these rare creatures.

Next we put the truck into 4WD and a 20 kilometer dirt road out to Broadwater Rainforest, A pretty area with a giant fig being the center piece of a well constructed board walk followed by a 1.3 kilometer forest walk.

And to end our day's touring, the Pub with no Beer !
