We decided our final day here would be best spent fishing off the pier and with some advice from the local bait shop purchased some prawns and cast our lines into the distant ocean. At about 9.30am the tide was slowly abating and many dejected fisherman were looking at their feet as the left the jetty all wishing us better luck than them. To our surprise after watching the Loggerhead turtles swim by and giving the fish a free feed of prawns, Deb caught a "Grunter Bream" whilst I jealously looked on. After that she reeled in a further 3, all of a legal size whilst I kept feeding the fish with my bait! Hmmm!
We returned to our camp were Debbie used her charms to lure an elderly gentleman named Roy to fillet the fish for us (thanks Roy) which I cooked up for lunch. Regretfully we forgot to get photos of the fish before filleting. Great day had by Deb and her caddy!
