Port Douglas

What can I say? Port Douglas presented to me as the northern equivalent of the Sunshine Coast's Hastings Street - expensive, snobbish and over rated! Not a lot of exciting things to do. It does however, have pristine beaches with turquoise water and a magnificent shoreline drive between it and Cairns in it's favor. Looking for some excitement, we boarded a train (Bally Hooley Railway) which drove 4 stops from a quaint dining station, St. Crispins, to the Port Douglas Marina.
