Time to visit some of the local attractions in our new ride, a 6 litre Holden Thunder Ute, thanks to Daryl.

A great array of animals on offer in a very open environment where we sighted animals only separated by a mote surrounding vast expanses of land. We walked the park to see animal feeding such as the lions, hippopotamus and gorillas also listening to many informative talks on other creatures.

Next onto the road train to to see the arid land and the animals residing in very differing conditions. Also showing typical huts from the regions and one very tired bus driver. The horses pictured were almost extinct with only several animals left in zoos around the world. Thanks to the zoos being proactive, these wild horses are regenerating successfully. Also you will notice several different species of antelope varying in vast shapes and sizes - not all are from the African continent.

Finally, still on the train, we visited the savanna which shows more of what we identify Africa for - close and personal and very enjoyable.

Check out the Hippos at feeding time, up to 3.5 ton of ugly creature being most closely related to the whale.

Last stop before leaving the park, the spectacular low land gorillas. A wonderful place to visit which we highly recommend to visitors in the area.
