A short stay over on our way to Wellington SA is Kingston - a beach side town with 2 pubs, 3 petrol stations and a car wash that doesn't work. The park we are staying in is across the road from the beach and about a kilometer from the Kingston Jetty. A very different type of light house is next door to us. It was built in England before the construction of the Eifel Tower, transported to Australia and Built on the pier. Over time it became obsolete and was deconstructed to move to land as a tourist attraction. Another eye catcher that most tourist's stop to take a snap shot is the "Giant Lobster" outside a defunct restaurant.
Quite noticeable is the sea grass littering the shores with the foreshore being a broad grassy area perfect for the family picnic.
