The Mighty Murray!

Whilst still in South Australia we are staying in Renmark which is on the Murray River and crossing a bridge will take us into Victoria. The following photos are the view from where we are staying including the heritage listed bridge slightly downstream.

You would think it doesn't get any better than this! Surprise, surprise - a 17 kilometer trip north takes us to Murtha Forest lookout showing the Mighty Murray in all her majestic prowess.

About another 4 kilometers north takes us to a place the locals recommend - "The Woolshed Brewery" which as the name implies is an old woolshed (smells like one too). We were told to try the alcoholic lemonade which was rather like the soft drink "Solo" only boosted by 8.1 % alcohol. My drink was a pear cider with a lower concentration of 5.1% .
